Renault Samsung’s QM3 Soldout in 7 Minutes

SEOUL, KOREA - Renault Samsung announced on November 20 that the 1,000 units of its small sports utility vehicle QM3, a volume assigned for its limited sales promotion, were sold out right on the day when the sales began.

Renault Samsung’s 5th new lineup QM3, which is now selling in Europe under the brand of Captur at a price of about 30 million won, is set to be sold in Korea at a price ranging between 22.5 million won and 24.5 million won, thereby drawing a sharp attention from domestic consumers.

A Renault Samsung official said, “The 1,000 units of QM3 which were assigned for special limited sales were sold out in seven minutes after the sales was launched. The number of pre-ordered cars is now estimated at 2,800 units.”

The1,000 QM3s will be released within December and the remainders are scheduled for delivery from March 2014 when Renault’s Spanish plant resumes full operations after year-end vacations.
