SEOUL, KOREA - T’way Air,one of Korea’s leading low-cost carriers, announced on November 26 that it held a ceremony to celebrate the launch of cargo transportation service at the Incheon Airport a day ago.
The cargo transportation service will use B737-800NG aircraft that will serve the route between Incheon and Bangkok.The airliner posted sales of 125.7 billion won and an operating profit of 6.3 billion for the first nine months of this year. The company expects the cargo transportation service to increase its annual sales by about 800 million won.
AT’way Air official said, “Initially, we will transport cargoes of up to 1 ton per flight. However, we will expand the cargo transportation service toward Japan and Taiwan early next year, aiming to increase our annual cargo transportation volume up to 8-9 million tons.”
