SEOUL, KOREA - POSCO Engineering & Construction said its 2013 performance, including order booking amount, sales revenue, and operating profit, is expected to surpass that of the last year. Chung Dong-Hwa, POSCO E&C vice chairman, said this on November 29 at the company's headquarters building in Songdo, Incheon, to celebrate its 19th anniversary.
Last year, the contractor posted an order booking amount of 11 trillion won and a sales revenue of 7 trillion won, the first time in its corporate history. The operating profit for 2012 was 355.8 billion won.
Chung said in congratulatory remarks, "Let's create a stable growth foundation by winning higher value-added projects overseas and nurturing high-caliber talents to take on complicated projects." On the same day, the company also awarded high-performance employees and innovative teams, while holding a CSR event to deliver coal briquettes to low-income families in the nearby Yeonsu district.
