SEOUL, KOREA - Kia Motors released K7 and K5 Hybrid, making bigger forays into the eco-friendly vehicle market. The company announced on December 16 that it released K7 Hybrid 700h and K5 Hybrid 500h.

The K7 Hybrid 700h is designed to minimize energy loss by using a hybrid-dedicated Seta II 2.4-liter MPI engine. The K7 Hybrid 700h realizes a fuel efficiency of 16.0 km/liter.
The K5 Hybrid 500h is mounted with a hybrid-dedicated Nu 2.0 MPI engine that features a maximum output of 150 hp and a maximum torque of 18.3 k.gm, plus a 35-kW electric motor. The K5 Hybrid 500h realizes a fuel efficiency of 16.8 km/liter.
The retail price of the K7 Hybrid 700h is 34.4 million won for Luxury and 35.95 million won for Prestige variety, while that of the K5 Hybrid 500h is 28.93 million won for Luxury, 30.25 million won for Prestige, and 32.1 million won for Noblesse.
