SEOUL, KOREA - Hanssem announced on February 6 that it achieved an operating profit of 79.4 billion won last year, up 68.1 percent from a year ago. Sales grew by 28.5 percent year on year to 1,006 billion won, while net profit jumped 55.2 percent to 61.3 billion won.
This was the first time among Korea’s furniture companies to achieve annual sales of more than 1 trillion won. The company explained that all of its five consumer sales business grew by more than 20 percent, with the interior kitchen business and the online retail business each registering a 30 percent growth compared to a year ago.
Hanssem noted that despite difficult economic situations in and outside Korea, it achieved growth in both sales and profits last year thanks to its effort to strengthen competitiveness on the basis of accurate analysis and forecast on the market trend. It added that in particular, the growth in sales and profit was driven by steady growth in the retail B2C market.
