
Developed under the project named LF, New Sonata is appointed with a Fluidic Sculpture 2.0, for the second time following its first application for New Genesis. The Fluidic Sculpture 2.0 is an upgraded design concept of the existing Fluidic Sculpture that is Hyundai Motor’s design philosophy.
Under the Fluidic Sculpture 2.0, New Sonata is applied with a hexagonal grille for its front area, while featuring the expansion of inner space by extending the axial distance.
Hyundai Motor strengthened the frame strength of New Sonata, thereby enhancing the safety of the vehicle. The application of ultra-high tension steel plates, which are more than 10 percent lighter but more than two times stronger than general steel plates, is expanded up to 51 percent of the vehicle.
