Samsung Electronics announced on March 5 that it set the prices of its brand-new 55- and 65-inch curved UHD TVs at 5.9 million won and 7.9 million won, respectively.
This is about 1 million won lower than the price of flat UHD TVs that Samsung released worldwide last year. The prices of 55- and 65-inch flat UHD TVs were 6.4 million won and 8.9 million won, respectively.
A Samsung Electronics official said, “Compared to last year’s pre-order sales for smart TVs, the curved UHD TVs showed five times higher first day pre-order sales.”
Samsung's curved UHD TVs are now available at major department stores in metropolitan areas and large retail outlets. If customers purchase Samsung curved UHD TVs during the pre-order sales period, they can have a discount of up to 1 million won.
