대 의
사람이 나쁜일을 하고 나서
남이 알까 두려움을 갖는 것은
아직 악한 가운데
착해질 수 있는 마음이
남아있기 때문이다.
착한일을 하고 나서
남이 알아주기를 서두르는 것은
아직 마음속에
악한 뿌리가 남아 있기 때문이다.

Gentleman shall easily overcome the changed situations, preparing in ordinary time to the crisis.
Abstract
No one knows
how the God will change the situations.
Sometimes God suppresses
and in next time releases.
But gentleman shall easily overcome
the changed situations.
And he thinks also, in ordinary time, the crisis.
So, God will not control him.

그러나 훌륭한 사람은
천운이 거꾸로 와도 순응하고
평온속에서도
위태로움을 생각하기 때문에
하늘도 어쩔 수 없다.

Impatient and obstinate man can easily be deprived of his fortune.
Abstract
Impatient man is like a fire to burn everything he saw.
The man who does not know to give his benefits to others, is like ice to freeze everybody he meet.
Obstinate man is like still water or rotten wood piece having no vitality.
Fortune, if any, will soon go away from him.

조급하고 융통성이 없으면 있는 복도 곧 달아난다.
대 의
성질이 조급한 사람은
타는 불길처럼 보는 것마다 태워버린다.
베풀지 않는 사람은
얼음처럼 닥치는 대로 얼게한다.
융통성이 없고 고집센 사람은
괴어있는 물이나 썩은 나무토막같이
움직임이 없고 생기가 없다.
따라서 복이 있어도 쉽게 달아난다.
