Hite-Jinro Acquires HACCP Certification

SEOUL, KOREA - Hite-Jinro announced on March 11 that it acquired the HACCP certification for all of its beer products produced at its Gangwonplant, from the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety. The brewery, accordingly, is entitled to attach the HACCP mark onto the trademark of its beers produced at the plant, including the Dryd.

HACCP is a food safety management system that preemptively manages harmful elements that could occur during the entire food processes ranging from raw materials to production, manufacturing, processing, cooking, and distribution.

Hite-Jinro’sGangwonplant, located in the province’s Hongcheon, is Korea’s largest beer production facility that is engaged in the production of the Dryd, Max, and Hite beers.

Prior to its acquisition of HACCP, the Gangwonplant also acquired the ISO22000 certification for the food safety management system, first in industry, last year, following the earlier acquisition of the ISO9001 certification for the quality management system.
