Rexton W and Korando Commercial Selected as Excellent Models in Europe

SEOUL, KOREA - Ssangyong Motor announced on March 20 that its Rexton W and Korando Commercial were selected as superb models in Europe, including Germany and Ireland. The Rexton W ranked No. 2 among high-end off-road SUVs in the driving test conducted by Auto Bild Allrad, an SUV-specific publication of the Europe’s auto magazine “Auto Bild.”

 

In this assessment, the Rexton W was selected as one of the final candidates, together with Toyota’s Land Cruiser, Jeep’s Wrangler, and Land Rover’s Defender. The Rexton W ranked No. 2 by achieving 547 scores in four categories, consisting of specs, driving experience, 4W drive technology and price, which consisted of 39 evaluation items.

In Ireland, Korando Commercial, a van version of Korando C, was named as the 2014 Continental Irish Commercial SUV of the Year by the Irish Motoring Writers Association. The Korando Commercial is now selling only in the UK and Ireland. It achieved high scores in the categories of loading capacity, safety, multipurpose usage, price and maintenance cost and driving performance.
