Ssangyong Motor opened its exhibition booth at the 2014 Beijing Motor Show. The official of Pang Da Automobile Trade, which is a Chinese sales agency for Ssangyong Motor, said, “The sales of New Korando C, which was launched in September 2013, have been on an upward trend. We plan to increase the number of local agencies for Ssangyong Motor up to 180 by year’s end from the current 150.”
Ssangyong Motor plans to export 15,000 units to China this year. The sales of Ssangyong Motor in China marked a robust year-to-year growth rate of 120 percent in the first quarter of this year, far higher than the nation’s average passenger car sales growth rate of 10 percent marked during this period.
Pang Da predicted that the sales of Ssangyong Motor in China are expected to grow to about 20,000 units this year, a three-fold jump from last year’s figures.
