Samsung Curved Ultra UHD TV Named as the Best Multimedia Product of the Year

SEOUL, KOREA - Samsung Electronics’ curbed Ultra UHD TV was selected as the best multimedia product of the year. The company announced on June 24 that its curved UHD TV won the presidential award at the 21st Korea Multimedia Technology Award hosted by the Ministry of Science, ICT, and Future Planning.

 

This year marked the second straight year for Samsung Electronics to receive the award. It won the presidential award last year with its 85-inch flat UHD TV. The curved UHD TV that Samsung Electronics released in February 2014 boasts four times clearer image resolution than full HD, plus a variety of smart features.

Samsung curved UHD TV has a 4,200R curvature which brings the highest feel of immersion at the distance of 3-4 meters. With an Auto Depth Enhancer, the curved UHD TV makes the viewer feel like watching 3D movies without wearing glasses.

In addition to the curved UHD TV, Samsung’s 20-nm 4-GB GDDR5 graphic DRAM won the ministerial award.
