The Korea IT Times In My Dream

My mother in my dream!
When we gobbled down food and felt like vomiting,
OK, OK, More, More,
G o o d m o r n i n g! T a k e c a r e! B I C Y E C L E,
We wrote down in bold strokes over and over
For a couple of semesters to know by heart.
Yesterday, I showed off my English in Uganda,
Saying, “I come from Korea.”
Upon trying to draw The Korea IT Times on a canvas,
‘Hello, give me chocolate,’ written on a fadedyellowish fertilizer sack
With the grapevine twig-turned charcoal pencil
That my mother made for me
Caught my eye.
The taste, the sweetest of all!
Years of language education
Help stay in contact with 160 nations around the world.
In English, not in Korean.
Vertically listed,
Incoming news is made bigger
And outgoing news is held dear.
Enlarging my ability and fattening this nation
Is my canvas“Korea IT Times!”
Your dashing writing skills!
Until the hems of the fluttering skirts
Angels coming down from heaven are wearing
Wear thin grazing rocks,
May You serve as the nation’s torch!
