Camera App Cymera Passes 100 Mil. Mark in Global Downloads

SEOUL, KOREA - SK Communications’ camera application Cymera passed the 100-million mark in global downloads in about two years and four months after being launched. According to SK Communications on July 14, Cymbera was released first in March 2012 as a camera app service that uses the company’s in-house face recognition technology.

Cymera has gained popularity throughout the world after going through a string of functional updates and improvements, including out-focusing, brushing, and filtering features. The popularity of Cymera is not limited to certain regions but evenly distributed throughout the world.

After gaining popularity first in Asia, including China and Vietnam, Cymera has enjoyed rising popularity in the United States and Europe and now in Latin America, centering on Brazil. Even from the planning stage, Cymera was developed under the banner of “Global Photo SNS.” It is now used by more than 4.5 million people every day in 220 countries worldwide.
