Wednesday, May 22nd, 2013

SEOUL, KOREA - Cheil Industries is setting out to expand its presence in China, putting polycarbonate, a high value-added engineering plastic material, at the head of its move.

The company announced on May 20 that it will put in aggressive marketing efforts in China by releasing polycarbonate and other materials used for mobile devices, TV, and automobiles, at ChinaPlas 2013, a plastic material exhibition held in Guangzhou in China.

ChinaPlas is one of the world's three largest international plastic and rubber material exhibitions, together with Germany's K-Fair and NPE of the United States.

Most major chemical and material companies, including Dow Chemical, BASF, and DuPont, participated in the ChinaPlas 2012 as part of their efforts to expand their sales in China.

Cheil Industries divided its exhibition booths into three areas—INFINO zone, Auto zone, and Starex zone. At the Auto zone, Cheil Industries displayed a variety of automobile interior and exterior materials. At the Starex zone, extrudable materials for use in refrigerators were showcased. Cheil Industries also exhibited exterior materials for IT devices and optical materials at the INFINO zone.
