Audi Korea Set This Year’s Sales Target for “New Audi A3” at 1,000 Units

SEOUL, KOREA - Audi Korea set this year’s sales target for its premium compact sedan “New Audi A3”at 1,000 units.The company held a new car presentation for New Audi A3 on January 6 at COEX in Seoul.

With the launch of the New Audi A3, Audi Korea will explore a new segment of premium compact sedans in Korea’s import car market.

An Audi Korea official said, “Korea’s small import car market has been led by hatchback models. However, we think the model that is suitable for the Korean market is sedan rather than hatchback.”

With a 2.0-liter TDI engine, the New Audi A3 sedan features a maximum output of 150hp and a maximum torque of 32.7kg.m. It takes only 8.4 seconds to reach the speed of 100km. Its fuel efficiency is 16.7km per liter.

By releasing a string of new models, Audi Korea aims to boost its annual sales up to 22,000 units, up more than 10 percent from a year ago.
