Kia Motors Unveils Concept Car "GT4 Stinger"

SEOUL, KOREA - Kia Motors' concept car GT4 Stinger made its first appearance at the 2014 North American International Auto Show that opened at the Cobo Center in Detroiton January 13. The GT4 Stringer is Kia Motors' tenth concept car that was developed as a rear-wheel drive sports car by the U.S. Design Center.

 

With a 2.0-liter turbo GDi engine and a six-speed manual transmission, the model features a maximum output of 315hp. From the initial stage of design, it was developed to focus on driving performance, thereby having less weight. It is also equipped with a steering device that responds sensitively to control.

A Kia Motors official said, "The whole length and height of the GT4 Stinger is designed to be lower than those of the K3, there by being less influenced by air resistance."

In addition to the GT4 Stinger, Kia Motors showed off the K9 that it revealed first at the 2013 Los Angeles Auto Show. Kia Motors plans to kick-start official sales of the K9 in North America within the first quarter of this year.
