SEOUL, KOREA - Gamevil achieved record-high quarterly sales in the first quarter of this year. The company posted sales of 27.8 billion won, operating profit of 3.8 billion won, and net profit of 3.6 billion won for the first quarter.

Compared to a quarter ago, sales, operating profit and net profit each rose 24 percent, 104 percent and 28 percent.Of special note, Gamevil’s quarterly sales rose 60 percent compared to a year ago thanks to the steady sales of existing games plus the rising popularity of new games.

Gamevil marked a positive growth both in Korea and elsewhere. Its domestic sales almost doubled compared to a year ago, while its overseas sales rose about 30 percent despite the lack of new-release global games.

Within the second quarter, Gamevil plans to release a total of eight new games, including “MLB Perfect Inning,” “Elements: Epic Heroes,” “Titan Warrior,” and “Fantasy Warlord,” targeting the global markets.
