SEOUL, KOREA - The home electronics items produced by Samsung Electronics and LG Electronics swept the top three spots in a U.S. consumer satisfaction survey. According to the 2014 Washing/Kitchen Equipment Satisfaction Survey released by U.S. market research firm J.D. Power on July 21, four Samsung products and three LG items grabbed No. 1 spots in the survey.
Among Samsung's No. 1 items are its drum washing machine, French door refrigerator, gas oven range, and microwave oven. Samsung's drum washing machine, in particular, achieved 828 pointsout of 1,000.
J.D. Power explained that the drum washing machine achieved high scores in terms of functionality, convenience, design, operation, and price. Following it was LG drum washing machine which achieved 820 points.
Samsung’s gas oven range and microwave oven also ranked No. 1 in their respective categories, achieving 831 and 815 points, respectively. In the French door refrigerator market, Samsung ranked No. 1 with 817 points, jointly with LG and Whirlpool.
