SEOUL, KOREA - SundayToz enjoyed record-high results in the second quarter of this year thanks to the continuous popularity of its “Anipang” series. The company announced on August 7 that it posted an operating profit of 17.9 billion won for the second quarter of this year, up 372.5 percent from a year ago.
Its second-quarter sales also jumped 290.4 percent year on year to 40.6 billion won, with the net profit estimated at 14 billion won, up 321.8 percent year on year.
Anipang and Anipang Sichuan each created sales of 53 billion won and 16 billion won, respectively, serving as stable income sources for SundayToz. Anipang 2 Kakao Game, released in January 2014, also contributed to the company’s record-breaking performance.
SundayToz’s operating profit-to-sales ratio reached 44.1 percent in the second quarter. A SundayToz official said, “The Anipang series is positioned as Korea’s leading mobile game, thereby showing stable sales trends. We will make bigger forays into overseas markets in the second half of this year.”
